कठोपनिषद

यदा पञ्चावतिष्ठन्ते ज्ञानानि मनसा सह।

बुद्धिश्च न विचेष्टते तामाहुः परमां गतिम्‌ ॥

Meaning

When the five senses cease and are at rest and the mind resteth with them and the Thought ceaseth from its workings, that is the highest state, say thinkers.

Hindi Meaning

''जब पाँचो इन्द्रियाँ शान्त होकर स्थिर हो जाती हैं तथा मन भी उनके साथ स्थिर हो जाता है, और 'बुद्धि' की प्रक्रियाएँ भी शान्त हो जाती हैं तो वह उच्चतम अवस्था (परमा गति) होती है, ऐसा मनीषीगण कहते है।
